Crafters Cafe Challenge 158

Happy Saturday

This time over at the Crafters Cafe, the theme is Pink, as this is Breast Cancer awareness month.

We have several wonderful sponsors for this challenge, I have been working with

My first card uses the All Dressed Up image - Time to Relax

I kept it simple, colouring with my Faber Castelle Pencils and using Spellbinders Classic Circles large and Lacey Circles to mat and layer the sweet image. I also used some Tumbled Glass Distress ink around the edges of the image, for a little more depth. The embossing folder is my old favourite 5x7 Cuttlebug Polkadots, and the resin flowers are from my stash.

My second card uses the pre-coloured Melonheadz bundle - Breast Cancer Awareness

I am afraid the floral embossing folder has no name I just called it flowers. I printed up the images I wanted from the bundle and cut them out with my Scan N Cut, the ribbons are from my stash.

Last but by no means least is the Polka Doodles image - Winnie Fruit Punch

I used the JustRight stamp set Doodle Roses for the background. The image is coloured with Copic markers and mat and layered with Spellbinders Petite Ovals large and Petite Scalloped Ovals large. The little flowers and leaves are from tiny punches.

Creative Moments Challenge 102

Happy Wednesday

This time over at Creative Moments the theme is as always Anything Goes and the optional twist is fall colours. There is also a wonderful Freebie and a Discount Code over there from the lovely
So go check it out!

We have 2 wonderful sponsors this week

My first card uses the Rick St Dennis image - Billie Jo

The picture does not show very well that the leaves on the left are done with Dreamweaver gold embossing paste, the rest are done with a mixture of Distress inks, this is all done over a Distress ink background. The circle and pumpkin embellishment are Spellbinders - Pumpkin Circles. The wonderfully drawn image is coloured with Copic markers and cut out with my Scan N Cut. I used Glossy Accents on the flowers.

My second card uses the Robyn's Fetish image - Five Pumpkin Friends

The image is coloured with Copic markers and cut with my Scan N Cut, the pumpkins have been given the Glossy Accents treatment. I used distress inks for the background(can you see a theme emerging here?). The clouds in the blue sky were made with a Clarity Cloud Mask . The grass was created using Distress inks and Clarity Brushes, if you have not tried these yet then in my humble opinion you are sure missing out, you get almost an airbrushed effect and can control your inks for a more subtle effect. The texture on the grass is a little stamp that is in a stamp collection a wonderful gentlemen gave me when his wife passed away, as is the foliage. I hope she likes what I make using her stamp collection. The sentiment is from Happy Fall by Gina K Designs which I think is now sadly retired. The sentiment is mounted on Spellbinders Fancy Tags
