Creative Moments Challenge

Happy Thursday

This time over at Creative Moments  the theme is as always Anything Goes and the optional twist is Spring. We have some wonderful sponsors this time and I am working with

My card uses the image Deacon Rain

I coloured the image with Copic's and used pierced rectangles to cut and layer it. The raindrops & Sun are from a First Edition dies set called Weather, and the embossing is done with a Crafters Companion 8x8 folder called Rain. The sentiment is by Memory Box, and is cut out using Spellbinders Page Maps - Labels & Tags. The flowers and leaves are made with punches and I coloured white pearls with a Sharpie to get the colour I wanted for the flower centres.

Crafters Cafe Challenge

Happy Thursday

This time over at The Crafters Cafe, the theme is handmade flowers. I am working with 2 of our lovely sponsors

My first card uses the Paper Nest Dolls image Mermaid Ellie with Seahorse

I created the silver scales with Finbar's A4 stencil called Ripped Fishnet and used Deco Foil Transfer Gel and my First Edition Foil and Foiling machine. This is the first time I have used this transfer gel after seeing a tutorial on the Design Inventions blog, I just had to purchase a jar and try it for myself, and I am super pleased with the results. This was created on white card and after the foil was added and cooled I used some distress inks to create the colour between the scales. The shaker part of the card was created with a double stitched circle die and filled with 2 colours of Glitter Sand, this was purchased a while ago from a shop called Bargain Busters here in the UK and was £2.49 for a large jar, I am hoping they will get other colours in as after a little research on the internet, I found other versions of this product to be rather expensive for the quantities that were being sold. In my research I also came across a kids sand product available at Hobbycraft, and it comes in 4 colours for £2 a jar so I think I will have to have a play with this in the near future. The flower arrangement is made using Memory Box Slender leaves & Hibiscus Flower, Spellbinders Monstera Leaves and Dee's Distinctively Stylised Floral. The sentiment is from MFT's Mermazing and the little star fish is from a local seaside "bucket and spade type shop"

My second card I kept simple and used Wink Wink Inks - Love Cats

I used the pre-coloured image from the set and trimmed it down to fit the scalloped frame. The flowers are made with a EK Success punch and the leaves with a MS punch. The paw prints are by Paper Smooches and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Meow You Doin'. I used MFT's Fishtail Frames to cut and frame the sentiment.

The Crafters Cafe Challenge

Happy Thursday

I hope all of you who are suffering the cold and snow are wrapped up being crafty at home.
This is I am afraid a long post as I got a little carried away with the theme - Recycling
We have some wonderful sponsor this time and I am working with

My first 2 cards are using images from Cute as a Button

After colouring the image with my Copic's I used some drift wood picked up on our local beach and some sea shells from my travels. The starfish are from a local seaside shop.

Again I used my Copic's to colour the image and used Spellbinders Grand Squares to cut and layer it.

I used an old damaged book to create a deco-patch background, adding some wood letters coloured with Distress oxides and flowers from my stash.

My next 3 cards are using images/sentiments from Dr Digi

I used one of the sentiments from the sheet and coloured it with sepia shades. I also used MFT's Tea Party die set to cut out DP from Trimcrafts Floral Muse collection, the embellishments are also from this collection. The embossed background was made using a Crafters Companion 8x8 embossing folder called Rose Garden. My "Recycled" is a wooden ice-cream spoon painted silver.

The background is made using GKD stamp set Cool Beans and I used Spellbinders Rounded square to cut and layer the sentiment. I created the coffee cup using MFT's Coffee Cup Dies, and added a recycled coffee stirrer.

Last but by no means least is

After colouring her in, I used my Scan N Cut to cut her out. and cut a mat with a pierced ovals die. I added some trim that was left over from the days of making dance costumes for my niece.
The flowers are from my local Hobbycraft store.

Thanks for stopping by and keep safe and warm
