Crafters Cafe Challenge & The last Post for 2017

Happy Friday

This is my last Blog Post of 2017, I would like to wish you all a fabulous Holiday season and a very craft New Year.

The last challenge for Crafters Cafe for 2017, we will be back on January 15th with our first challenge of 2018.

This time the theme is Anything Christmas/or use Red, Green & White

The tree is by Cherry Lynn and the DP is Lovecraft's Glad Tidings. The sentiment is from Avery Elle's Dear Santa set and the little presents are from MFT's Santa's Elves set.

I am using the Eureka image The Night Before Christmas


I used a pierced oval die to cut the image out after colouring with my Copic's. The DP is by Trimcraft and is from the stack Dear Santa.

Creative Moments Last Challenge for 2017

Happy Wednesday

I hope this post finds you all well and prepared for the Holiday Season. My family are having a well earned rest this year, we are booked to go out for our Christmas dinner and on Christmas eve I will cook Turkey & Beef for a traditional Boxing day lunch with all the pickle and Bubble & Squeak the family can eat. 

Creative Moments will be back on January 10th 2018 with a new challenge.

I have 2 cards for you today

The first uses the image Stella - Christmas Cost


I used a Clarity stencil for the background and Fired Brick Distress ink. The image is coloured with Copic's and the Holly leaves are dies from Creative Expressions.

My second card uses the image Christmas Moose Ornament


The background is created with a Crafters Companion 8x8 embossing folder called Knit One Pearl One. After colouring the image with my Copic's I cut it out with Spellbinders Grand circles and matted it on to a Grand Scalloped Circles. The sentiment is by Lawn Fawn from their set Winter Village, and I also used their Everyday Sentiment Banners. The Holly is Memory Box's Ho Ho Holly Leaves.

613 Avenue Create Just of Fun Challenge

This month over at 613 Avenue Create the theme is Christmas.

My card uses images from MFT's Santa's Elves


I coloured all the images with Copic markers and added some white gel pen to the tree and stocking. I also used MFT's Wonky Stitched Rectangles & Squares. The brick is stencilled with distress ink.

Crafters Cafe Challenge

Happy Thursday

This time over at the Crafters Cafe , the theme is Wet or Dry Embossing and one of our lovely sponsors is 


My card uses the image Euro Girl-Denise the Artist


All the background is stamped using MFT's Abstract Art in various pigment inks and then heat embossed using clear embossing powder, the same goes for the sentiment and this comes from a LF mini set called Color My World. The background for the image is MFT's Abstract Cover Up and the extra paint splats are made with coloured card stock and Angel Company's Paint Splat dies, these are also heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is die cut and layered with Spellbinders A2 Modern Stationary.

The design is based around MFT's Castle Die, after all what Princess does not deserve he own castle.

My card uses the image Lit Up Too Moose


I used Copic markers to colour the image and also add some colour to the background. I then cut the image with Spellbinders Card Creator Matting Basics A. The frame is also SB Branching Out. The DP is by Dovecraft  - Time to Sparkle and the die cut lights are LF - String of Ligts, these were cut out of inked vellum. The sentiment is from  LF - Lets Bokeh.

Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge

This week over at The Outlawz it is the turn of Team B to create the inspiration for you, but as my lovely friend Linda is busy with some family stuff, I am jumping in this week.

The theme this week is "A Winter Holiday or Snow

My card uses the image Santa Head


I coloured the image with Copic markers and used my Marvy Snow pen to create the fur on his hat.
I used a MFT Stitched Circle Scalloped Frame for the image and created the greenery with Concord & 9th's Take a Bough Dies. The berries are created out of red card using the tiny circle die from the set, I added some sparkle with a glitter pen and some Glossy Accents to add some dimension. The sentiment is from Avery Elle's stamp set of the same name and cut out and layered with Just Right's Antique Labels 1

Crafters Cafe Challenge

Happy Wednesday (again)

This time over at The Crafters Cafe  we are playing Tic Tac Toe


Our wonderful sponsor is 

I am following the middle line, twine, Charm & Orange  
I am using the image Gentle One 


I used some distress inks to create the warm glow in the door way and after colouring the image I fussy cut him out. I created the door way using Sunny Semi Circles and my paper trimmer, I then used a wood grain embossing folder. The trees on each side are created with Avery Elle's Tree die and then after cutting out, I the ran through again using Lil Inker Stitched Woodgrain cover-up. The banners are from Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Card Pop-Up and the grass is also by Lawn Fawn. The pine branch  detail is Concord and 9th's Take a Bough, I also used MFT's Oval Shadows to ground the image.

My first card uses the DS4Joy image - Talk About Fast Food


After colouring the image with Copic markers,  I cut it to fit a landscape Leafy Backdrops die. The sentiment is form a GKD set.

My second offering using Decosse Dynamites Pumpkin & Pilgrim Hat papers and Thanksgiving Sentiment.


I fussy cut 3 of the pilgrim hats from a scrap of the paper to create the embellishments. The sentiment is cut with Antique Labels One and mounted on a pierced oval die.

The image I am using is called Mary Poppins


I used MFT products to create this card.

The clouds are created with distress ink and the cloud stencil, and the sentiment is done on the PC and cut out with Fishtail Flag Frames

Now why you may ask Mary Poppins?

Well firstly I just adored the image, and secondly I loved the film as a child and also watched it several times with my own children. 

In recent years I have come to love a classical musician Andre Rieu and I will let you into a little secret, one item on my bucket list is to see him in concert. 

Here is a wonderful clip at one of his concerts and the most glories voice of Mirusia and another good reason to choose this image.

Crafters Cafe Challenge

This time over at The Crafters Cafe, the theme is "Sewing real or faux"

My first card uses the RSD image A Stitch in Time


I used some pattern paper from Papermania Wood collection and added real sewing along with my WRMK Sew Easy tool. The image is coloured with Copic markers and I added a little Distress ink in Vintage Photo to the edges.  The sentiment is from GKDesigns mini stamp set - Time. The embellishments are from Spellbinders - Dear Old Dad.

My next 2 cards are both images from Sheepski Designs



This time I used faux stitching in the form of GKDesigns In Stitches stamp set, and after colouring the image with Copic markers I cut it out with MFT - Zig Zag Stitched Squares. I then added a little Tumbled Glass Distress ink to the edges. The Butterflies are Tattered Lace - Beauteous Butterflies.


Again some faux stitching, this time using Lawn Fawn's Puffy Cloud Boarders and also the sentiment Scripty Hello

Crafters Cafe Challenge

Happy Tuesday

This time over at the Crafters Cafe the theme is "Black, White & 1 Other Colour"

My first card uses the Mari Digi image - I love Art


The image is coloured with Copic markers and cut out with Spellbinders Petite Ovals and mounted on to Petite Scalloped ovals, this is then mounted on to Sizzix - Layers & Flowers. I also used a Crafters Companion embossing folder called Delicate Floral and made the little flowers with an EK Success Blossom Pung and added some leaf sprigs made with an MS punch.

My second card uses the Eureka image - Baby Elephant


For this card I also colours it with Copic markers and fussy cut her out. I used a Crafters Companion embossing folder called Mandala and Spellbinders Standard Circles, Diamond Essence and Monstera Leaves.
