Girls Night Out and Some News

Happy Sunday

This week over at 613 Avenue Create, the theme is as always anything goes, with the optional twist of girls night out.

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge is

My card uses the image and sentiment - Ruby Tidbits - Tequila

The background is a replica of the wallpaper in a club I went to many years ago, infant it was so long ago clubs were called Discos! When I saw the image, that gaudy wallpaper from my youth sprang to mind, so I used a X-Cut embossing folder - leopard print, and some Viva Decor - Inka Gold - Magenta paste, I popped a little of the paste on to a craft mat and used my finger to rub it over the card, I then buffed it up with a paper towel. The image is coloured with Copic markers and cut out with my Scan N Cut, yes I am still in love with this amazing piece of kit.

I also have a little bit of news for you. I am now officially a Trimcraft  demonstrator, I will be in Chatham, Canterbury and Broadstairs (all in Kent UK) during September and November in the Range Stores, so watch this space for dates, it would be amazing to meet you if you live close to those areas!

A Fancy Fold

Happy Thursday

This fortnight over at Creative Moments the theme is Anything Goes, with the optional twist of "Fancy Folds", well with the new Spellbinders Pop-Up dies it is sure easy to create those fancy folds.

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge is

My card uses the image Chloe

I used the SB pop-up die Gifts of Happiness to create my card base and I also used the embellishment dies from the same set, The beautiful image is coloured with Copic markers, I then scanned it into my Scan N Cut and used this to make a mask on copy paper, so I could blend some Memento Summer Sky ink around her.

Now this beautiful image is not the only Chloe in my life

The little tabby and white on the right is my very own Chloe, you can not see it very well in this picture, but she is teeny tiny due to her being born under an eco toilet on an allotment, this caused her and her almost identical twin brother to be very poorly kittens. They are both very well now, and have recently celebrated their 1st Birthday, but have never grown very big due to the illness. The big black lump on the left is Teddy Bear and is the most laid back cat in the house, he even eats laying down!

Shaped Cards

Happy Wednesday

This week over at The Crafters Cafe the theme is "Shaped Cards"

We have 2 lovely sponsors

My card uses the gorgeous image by My Stitch Back in Twine called Dreamy Darcee

If you have not guessed yet, I have been playing with my Scan N Cut again, (I just love that piece of kit). The card base is a file already loaded on the machine in the nature section, I rotated and welded the shape together to form the cloud card base, I also cut out the image using the scan facilities on the machine. The Sun is Western Sunshine by Spellbinders and the little clouds are by Memory Box.
The layers were cut in white and coloured with Memento inks.

Our lovely sponsors for this challenge are

I think you will agree I cheated a little with the "Torn Paper" part of the challenge, as I used a Memory Box die called Distressed Baptisia Collage. The image is coloured with Copc markers and mounted on Spellbinders Octagons Large and Large Scalloped Octagons. The sentiment is I think from Whimsy Stamps.

Tic Tac Toe at the outlawz

Happy Monday

This week at the Outlawz we are playing a game of Tic Tac Toe

Here is the grid

We have 2 lovely sponsors for this challenge

My card uses Deedee's image - A Beachy State of Mind

The images are pre-coloured and I cut them out with my newest toy the Brother Scan N Cut, wow that was just so easy and quick! The embossing folder is by Crafters Companion and is called Sunglasses, I gave this the Gelatos Treatment another new toy, so before we go any further I think I should explain that the reason I have not only these, but many other new crafting goodies is because of my lovely friend Nikki, who sadly has turned in her crafting apron due to her health, and has passed on to me a wonderful crafting stash. Ok back to the card, the sentiment is cut with Spellbinders - Labels 38 and the little faux enamel embellishments are melted Hama Beads, you can read all about how to do this at the lovely Christine Emberson's blog, I will say I tried Hobby Crafts own make of these beads, and they did not turn into lovely enamel dots,  but into little O's that look a lot like bubbles, and I am sure I will be using them in the near future on a project, these are made from genuine Hama beads.

I look forward to seeing your creations in the challenge.
