Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge

Happy Monday

Today over at The Outlawz we have a new Monday Challenge and this week it is:

National Nut Day! Nuts n bolts!
Want to see something metal in your card!

Here is my card for this week:

The wonderful image is from one of our sponsors Jackson's Digital Expressions and I had so much fun working with this image, what a talent that man has for drawing!

The B/G is embossed with one of the new Spellbinders A4 M-Bossabilities Garden Lattice and the two frames are Floral Ovals and Creative Book Pages Two. The metal part is the frames are cut out of copper etching foil, yes the are truly metal and yes I cut them with Spellbinders, it is amazing what you can cut out with these wonderful dies, and Spellbinders have a great video on the subject below. The seaweed and sentiment have been stamped using a GKD stamp set by Theresa Momber called Under the Sea, I have the rubber set but it is also available in CLEAR. The seaweed was hand cut.

Advanced Notice!
Pop back Wednesday for a wonderful sale event at DS4J, I will have some samples and a special code for you to save some pennies :-)

Don't forget if you are in the UK you can get all things Spellbinders, plus many more great products from:

A New Launch and a Little Thank You from me to You

Happy Sunday

There are some super additions to the DS4J E-Shop this week and well worth a look. My fellow DT's have made some stunning cards and you can see them HERE.

My card uses a digi called Underwater Scene with the addition of two previously released images Seahorse and Fishy, if you would like to know how I achieved the merging of the images you can check out a tutorial HERE and believe me it is very very simple.

So here is my card :

Very CAS for me, but I felt the image deserved all the credit on this one, it is so beautifuly drawn and a real pleasure to work with.

I will be entering this card for the following challenges:

So go check out the new stuff and have some fun, digi stamps are so versatile, you can re-size them, merge images, they are VERY Inexpensive,  and best of all they take up no space in your craft room, so if you have never tried a digi stamp, I urge you to give it a go!

As a little thank you for your support in stopping by my blog, I have created a free digi stamp for you, all I ask is if you should use it in a challenge or publicly in any way, just remember to link it back to me.

This is a jpeg format (you get the white background)

This is a png format (the background is transparent)

So if you wish to merge an image use a jpeg for the background and a png for the layers, no messing around :-) Just right click on the image and 'save as', you can re-size, merge etc all in 'word'.

Thank you for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your weekend :-)

Another Great Challenge

Happy Tuesday

The Greetings Card Challenge this week at Outlawz is:

SARCASTIC  GREETINGS

My card this week:

The brooms are cut using the Silhouette and the file is called Witch's Broom Closet. The stamped sentiment was a recommendation from an amazing designer Suzanne Dean, and you can see her blog HERE, the stamp is from DRS Designs and to be honest I have had it ages, just needed an excuse to bring it out and use it.
It says:

I used Tim Holtz Distress inks to tone down the sentiment, that has been cut with Spellbinders Labels 25  and can be purchased in the UK from:
Whitstable Stamp Craft
21a Oxford Street
Whitstable, Kent
Tel: 01227 264303

Or Online at their parent company

You should pop over and see the amazing designs by my fellow DT's and the competition entries, you can do all that HERE

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day
