Creative Moments Challenge

Happy Monday

Firstly on a personal note, with all the sadness in the world today, yesterday I was reminded that I have such a wonderful family and I am blessed, I have my children, wether I gave birth to them or not, who I love dearly and equally, the woman I call sister, even though we share no blood relation and the extended family from that, grand children, nephews, nieces and God children. Finally what a wonderful man I have the privilege of calling my husband.
So in these uncertain times, I am reminded to count my blessings and I hope you will do the same, I wish you all a safe and crafty time in the weeks ahead.

Ok on to the crafty bit

This time over at Creative Moments it is a straight anything goes and our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is

I am using the image - Brat School - World Globe

I coloured the sweet image with my Copic's.
The sentiment is from a LF set called Out of this World. DP from my stash. The round dies are classic Spellbinders and the sentiment is cut with some pierced rectangle's.

Keep safe and thank you for dropping by

We have two wonderful sponsors for this challenge

Scribbles Designs

My first Card uses the Dr-Digi image Well Earned Rest

I used a brick stencil for the background and trimmed it with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Scalloped Edges, to create the impression of roof tiles. I coloured the image with Copic's and used MFT's A2 Rectangle Frames to cut it out and create the window frame. The curtains are MFT's Take the Stage. The sentiment's are also MFT's - Essential Sentiments and cut out with their Word Window dies.

613 Avenue Create

Happy Sunday

This time over at 613 Avenue Create, the optional twist is colour with pencils.
Now I will admit to having more than a few pencils, mainly due to being able to purchase a job lot of crafty goodies, when a friend's health meant she no longer enjoyed crafting. Now owning a nice selection of pencils, does not necessarily mean you use them very often, so I had to rise to the challenge. What I will say is it took me a lot longer to colour than if I had used my markers, but I am pleased with my first real attempt.

I used the Viking stamp set, I think may be retired, by MFT

For the background I used MFT's Sun-ray stencil and distress inks, I also added a shadow to ground him, this is cut using MFT's Oval Shadows dies. I added some tufts of grass in pencil.
I then cut the background and frame with MFT's Stacks dies. The DP is from my scraps.

613 Avenue Create Challenge

Happy Sunday

This time over at 613 Avenue Create the theme is as always Anything goes, the optional twist is Doodling and/or Zentangle

Now I know about Zentangle, as it was a technique I used when teaching art & design to City & Guild students, but I have to confess it was not something I have actually tried myself, so as you can imagine I found this one a bit of a challenge!

I found the outline image in my clip-art files, looked up a few tutorials on-line and this is the result. I must admit I did find it enjoyable.

I used Distress Oxide ink to create the background and distress sprays for the stars. The brick is made with original Distress inks and a stencil. The sentiment is form a MFT stamp set I Knead You

I look forward to seeing your creations on our street

Crafters Cafe Challenge 232

Happy Sunday

This time the theme over at The Crafters Cafe is One Layer or Window

I have gone for the window option on both my cards, and our wonderful sponsors are

My first card uses the Decosse products - Santa Claus is coming to town, Holiday Hoopla & Happy Holidays sentiment

I enlarged the Santa from the paper Santa Claus is coming to town, and the on my computer layered the tartan frame from Holiday Hoopla

I used Spellbinders Flourish Fleur to frame the image and added the sentiment, after cutting out twice with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles.

Tip
With both the spellbinders dies, neither being a frame die, after cutting and embossing, and before releasing from the die.  I used my craft knife to cut out the centre, on the sentiment I cut it out with the die, and the cut out the red and proceeded as above, this was to give stability to the frame.

My next card uses the beautiful image Winter 10  bu Morgan's Art World

I used Lawn Fawn's Snowfall backdrop and framed the image with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Scalloped Rectangle. The sentiment is from MFT's Chill Wishes, and cut out using Simon Says Stamps Nested Banners

I look forward to seeing your creations in our challenge
